GIFF 2019: Lincoln (Bishop Grosseteste University) Event Cache

Now in its 5th year..

A chance to watch Geocaching on the big screen!

Doors open at 1.30pm. Film starts at 2pm prompt and lasts about an hour.

The whole event finishes at 3.30pm

Entry is £2.00 per adult, £1 for kids. (On the door only)

If you've been before, you'll remember that the GIFF Weekend is your chance to watch the entire reel of all the films that have made the final of the 2019 Geocaching International Film Festival.

Over this weekend only, geocachers all over the world are hosting geocaching events at which these films will be shown publicly for the first time. So pop your popcorn, grab a friend, and get ready-it’s a global geocaching movie event!
 

The finalists will be announced in September

There will be an official Groundspeak virtual souvenir automatically displayed on the profile page of each cacher who attends this GIFF event. There will also be a special one attached here just for this event which you can add yourself. If you don't know how, just message me!

The films themselves will be shown between 2pm and 3pm but come along at 1.30pm for pre-movie banter, trackable swapping etc. After the event there'll be time for discussions etc. Children are welcome with an accompanying adult.

There will also be a raffle to help cover the costs of hiring the venue. Any surpluss will go to the Lincolnshire 2021 Mega.

Snacks and drinks are available after the show in 'The Venue' bar.

Any unfinished geo-talk can continue there for those interested, and will continue after the event itself.
