Geocache Description:

This geocache is in the new section of Pilgrim Cemetery.  The original parts of the Pilgrim Cemetery lie across the highway and date back to the formation of Pilgrim Church. The original log church was built in December 1839.  The church is purported to be the oldest protestant church in Texas. The present church is the the fourth on the same site with continuous worship since 1834. Reverend Daniel Parker started the congregation and was the Pastor from 1833-1844, with the first meetings held in his home. Located in this cemetery, there are veterans from numerous conflicts beginning with the Battle of San Jacinto in Texas War for Independence.

This geocache is located inside a cemetery, therefore NO ACCESS AT NIGHT!
