I believe you should be at Mile marker 2.69! Good job! Hidden along the middle section of the Winchester Green Circle Trail. Log included but no room for pen so please bring one! Please return it in the exact location you found it. Thank you. I used to have a cache "Hanging with Forrest" near this location but they took out the bus stop. So I archieved it and put out a new cache. Happy Hunting.
The Winchester Green Circle is a walking and bicycling path designed to connect neighborhoods and points of interest in the City of Winchester.
The Winchester Green Circle project, when completed, will provide safe facilities and accommodations for both bicyclists and pedestrians, to access major destinations in the city.
The circle connects areas of historic, recreational, educational and natural interest. Some of those attractions include Glen Burnie Historic House & Gardens/Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Jim Barnett Park, Shenandoah University, Old Town Winchester, and the Abrams Creek Wetlands Preserve. The planned 7-to-8-mile route includes Wilkins Lake, Shenandoah University, the Apple Blossom Mall, Abrams Creek Wetlands Preserve, Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Winchester Medical Center, Old Town Winchester, Shawnee Springs Preserve and Jim Barnett Park.
Where possible the routes follow local streams emphasizing the restoration, protection and interpretation of natural resources and urban green spaces.
