A traditional cache located about 100m off a dirt road through the Brisbane Ranges National Park
This cache was originally located in the Anakie Gorge and it was known as The Gorgeous Anakie Stash. Parks Victoria asked for it to be relocated as it encouraged people to leave the track through the gorge, and could have contributed to the spread of the Cinnamon Fungus which can cause serious die back among the native plants and trees. It has a foothold in the gorge, so it is an undesirable place to conduct geocaching.
Therefore, the cache has been relocated and relaunched as The Cinnamon Transfer.
It is an easy cache to find and is located about 100m off the Durdidwarrah Road in the western area of the park north of Steiglitz. It is not near a parking area, you will need to park at the side of the road.
This is a very historic area and a little research before you go will reward your effort.
