I is for Incognito
hiding just out of sight
hidden by day
hidden by night
If you can't make the find
keep wandering around
It would be a pity to miss it
when you've come so far from town
The Cache: This is a two-stage multi-cache. I had a lot of fun putting it together last winter but then never published it because I got super busy and then COVID-19 hit. You are looking for something unique on these trees. Once you find it, use the hint to find the final cache, which is quite close.
Beware The Terrain: There is no Poison Ivy out here that I could find, but you will have to cross a fence, walk through blackberry brambles that are growing on uneven ground, and avoid the ticks at certain times of the year. Once you get there it's quite beautiful, but I want to stress that while I think this cache is super fun, it will not be for everyone or the unprepared. Please choose wisely. You can cross the fence wherever you would like, but I would strongly suggest using the waypoints. It is much easier to do so at those locations rather than heading straight in.
We are Meaptastic - a father and son team that got started Geocaching at the end of 2018. It's been a great way to spend time together and get outside. This past summer, we participated in the Metro 5 & 10 K and ran along this Fred Meijer M-6 trail. While doing so, we thought of an idea to place a series of caches based on the alphabet describing what we have learned so far about Geocaching. We are hoping to make each cache unique and fun to find!
