This is the first of a (hopeful) series highlighting the water towers of Rosemount. AJ used to have an obsession with water towers when she was young, so we felt that this might be an interesting way to dip our toes into hiding geocaches. This is our first ever hide.
A water tower is an elevated structure supporting a water tank constructed at a height sufficient to pressurize a water supply system for the distribution of potable water, and to provide emergency storage for fire protection.
This water tower is known as the Bacardi Water Tower, and is the largest water tower in Rosemount. Constructed in 2007, it is the newest of the four Rosemount water towers. A Hydropillar-style water tower, it stores 1.5 million gallons of water.
