MORTE A VENEZIA
Dimenticato da tutti, soffocato tra strade a grossa percorrenza e costruzioni varie, sorge un monumento troppo ignorato, che dovrebbe invece avere la giusta attenzione, visto che parliamo di Venezia. Qui a Mestre (Venezia terraferma!) sorge il monumento ai marinai italiani caduti in mare. La città di mare, che deve la sua gloria passata proprio all’acqua, ricorda la morte ed i morti in mare.
L’opera è in ferro ed è ad opera di Bruno Vazzoler (1985).

DEATH IN VENICE
Forgotten by all, shrink between high-traffic roads and various buildings, a monument too ignored rises, which should instead have the right attention, because we are talking about Venice. Here in Mestre (Venice mainland!) stands the monument to Italian sailors drowning victims. The seaside town, which owes its glory to its own water, recalls death and the dead at sea.
The piece is in iron and is the work of Bruno Vazzoler (1985).
