Denne cacheserie er en hyldest til Walt Disney, manden som har beriget vores barndom med så mange fantastiske tegnefilm.
Robin Hood er den enogtyvende Disney Klassiker. Filmen er en tro kopi af sagnet om Robin Hood, blot med Disneys karakteristiske strøg. Da den er fremstillet på et forholdsvist lille budget og var forsinket i produktion, er en del skabeloner og lydsekvenser genbrugt fra bl.a Snehvide, Aristocats og Junglebogen. Filmen udkom i 1973 i USA og kom først til Danmark i 1974.
Robin Hood og hans slæng, som blandt andet inkluderer Lille John, bor i Sherwood skoven i England. Her stjæler de fra de rige og giver det til de fattige i Nottingham. De er flere gange tæt på at blive fanget af sheriffen af Nottingham, men undslipper hver gang. Han er snu som en ræv og driller ofte sheriffen. England er under ledelse af den barnlige Prins John, fordi hans broder, den rette konge - Kong Richard, er på korstog. Prinsen har pålagt alle voldsomme skatter, så folket har det meget svært. Da Prins John og hans lede assistent Sir Hiss ankommer, lykkes det Robin Hood at bestjæle prinsen forklædt som spåkone, og prinsen bliver endnu mere opsat på, at han skal fanges.
Robin Hood erfarer, at der skal være en stor bueskytte turnering, hvor vinderen vil modtage et kys af den smukke Lady Marian, som Robin Hood har et godt øje til. Han møder derfor op udklædt som langbenet stork og vinder turneringen. Han bliver dog afsløret og fængsles på slottet, ligesom en del af landsbyens beboere. Under stor tumult slipper Robin Hood og de andre fængslede dog fri, og i sidste øjeblik vender Kong Richard hjem fra korstoget, overtager tronen og genopretter lov og orden. Lady Marian og Robin Hood gifter sig lykkeligt og folket er igen glade.

Robin Hood is the twentyfirst Disney Classic. The movie was a true copy of the legend of Robin Hood, just with the characteristic touch of Disney. Since it was produced on a fairly low budget and was behind schedule, quite a lot of templates and sound sequences was reused from Snow White, Aristocats and the Jungle Book a.o. The movie was released in USA in 1973 and in Denmark not until late in 1974.
Robin Hood and his gang, which includes Little John, live in the Sherwood forrest in England. Here they steal from the rich and give to the poor in Nottingham. Several times, they are close to being caught by the Sheriff of Nottingham, but escape each time. He is sly as a fox and oftens teases the sheriff. England is being led by the childish Prince John, because his brother, the rightful king - King Richard, is on a crusade. The prince has imposed terribly high taxes, so the people is suffering. When Prince John and his mean assistant, Sir Hiss, arrives, Robin Hood succeed in robbing him disguised as a fortune teller and the prince becomes even more obsessed with his capture.
Robin Hood learns, that a big archery tournament is beginning, and since the winner is awarded with a kiss from the beautiful Maid Marian, he enters. He shows up disguised as a longlegged stork and wins the tournament. He does get exposed and is being imprisoned at the castle, just as a big part of the people of the village. Under great commotion Robin Hood and the other captives finds a way out and in the very last minute, King Richard returns from the crusade, reclaims the throne and restores law and order. Maid Marian and Robin Hood are happily married and the people are happy again.
