Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to three WW2 bomb craters. In September 1940, a German bomber, returning from a raid over Liverpool, dropped its remaining bombs here in order to get enough height to get over Cronk ny Arrey Laa.

There was unfortunately a fatality caused by the heath fire. It was a frog and you can still see it today in the WW2 section of the Manx Museum.  Below is the report which made front page news in the Isle of Man Examiner.

There is no path to the cache so you will be walking through heather and the ground may be quite boggy. The walk is half a mile from the below parking waypoint although you may be able to find another way there. I have also listed the coordinates for the other 2 bomb craters which I suggest you visit as they are all very close together.
