The Hialeah owl is a very rare species of “owls” which belong to the large fathered chested family. Typically known for its bright face colorations, loud mating calls (mostly from the female of its species) and protuberant front fathers, hardly ever found in any other of the owl species.
Its behavior is mostly diurnal, although depending on the occasion it can also be nocturnal. It feeds mainly on the local population of small “winged” birds, as well cows and sometimes even fish; know also for its large consumption of fermented fruits which in some cases can give these owls an inebriated state. Not recommend keeping it in captivity as they tend to become high maintenance in the long run, specially the female of the species.
Sadly, these beauty owls are on the Hialeah endangered list, since it is usually not too bright which facilitate their illegal poaching by men as they leave their nests during the early hours of the morning.
Please help this endangered species by finding this cache!!! The Hialeah owls will be very grateful!
