Important update 27/09:
Hi guys ,
This morning I have spoken with our host, Roger. Unfortunately, the weather for Sunday morning is forecast to be rainy as well as high winds so the planned activities will be postponed.
I will, however, be running a brief litterpick in the park, though the only equipment I can provide is rubbish bags !
If you're still interested, we're meeting at the same time (1030) at Cafe Fumee, 73 High Street, where we'll assess the state of play.
I think if you're planning to come from a distance you may want to reconsider!!
I'm very sorry about this, but I suppose the weather can't be helped. Otherwise, see you on Sunday (bring a raincoat.)
PS tomorrow's CITO - GC8B86H - is still going ahead.

Floral Intents and Purposes
Sunday 29th September 2019
Hi everyone! You’re invited to join us on Sunday 29th September for some work at Town Quay Park. Work will consist of some shrub clearance and flower planting in this small and attractive green space, in the centre of the city.
The site is maintained by volunteers from the Friends of Town Quay Park, who have been generous enough to host us for the morning.
We’ll meet at the published coordinates just before 1030am, at the published coordinates. I have been advised that parking is free in the adjacent Gloucester Road car park or on French Street, though if you're planning to stay in town after the CITO you may need to pay.
At 1030am there will be a briefing by our host Roger, and then we’ll work through to about 1200. Roger has asked if everyone can bring your own gloves; he will provide all other tools. Roger says, "We will try to cover a range to cater for the fit and virile, to those who might prefer to be more sedentary."
Please indicate your ‘will attend’ so we have an idea of numbers.
This is a new hosting organisation for us so I hope we can manage a good turnout !
How
Roger from the Friends of Town Quay Park will be on hand to provide guidance and equipment. They will provide all equipment, but please bring your own gloves. Please also consider wearing appropriate clothing and sensible footwear. The event will proceed in any weather unless there are high winds or storms. There will be appropriate tasks for almost any ability level.
Health and Safety
All health and safety rules apply. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
Any more questions, please get in touch!
Everyone is welcome - including any visitors just passing by :-)
Thanks for reading this, and hope to see you there!
