Geocache Description:

Construction of the Long Bien Bridge took place from 1899-1902. At the time it was built, it was the first bridge across the Red River out of Hanoi and was one of the longest bridges in Asia. Today there are five bridges that cross the river but the Long Bien Bridge remains an iconic landmark for Hanoi, and is popular among tourists and Vietnamese alike. Besides lots of motorbike traffic and nice views of the Red River, you may see a train pass by and probably also some other visitors climb over the rails to take pictures on the tracks framed in its iron beams.

No cars are allowed on the bridge but you can easily get to it on foot or by bicycle or motorbike. If coming on foot, you will want to be on the north side of the bridge (with the traffic going out of Hanoi, heading to the Long Bien side).

Pictures in the log are welcome but don’t post a picture of the cache itself. Thank you.
