The vibrant Taojin Road is hidden away behind the Friendship Store and Baiyun Bingguan. And hidden away behind Taojin Road is a network of small lanes and alleyways winding through the area into typical 'danwei' or work unit type housing built in the 1980s and 1990s. These 7-10 storey buildings were initially only residential, though shops, restaurants and services are now being installed into many of the ground floors, adding to the appeal and walkability of the area. Many of the buildings are retrofitting lifts, and some highrises are also being shoehorned into plots on a piecemeal basis generally retaining the rich urban fabric of the Taojin area.
The hardest part for this cache is finding the right alleyway entrance from Taojin Road.
