Stop here along the boardwalk to admire the amazing work of the team building a bridge over to the new island which is being built.
In 2016, there was no signs of an island, but the sand barges started coming. By 2019, the outline of an island exists. By August 2019 they had built a small pedestrian bridge over to the island for workers and materials. They used the small bridge to build the large vehicle bridge. By 2023 the bridge was finished and they started to take down the small bridge. The bridge looks beautiful all lit up at night.
