This is our first cache... the first of many!
Carletonmoor wood is a small and old wood that is just a few minutes from the town of Egremont (don’t forget to visit the castle!). Carry on up the road from the wood and you’ll find Haile church in a hidden valley and then the quaint village of Haile.
Our family has spent many enjoyable evenings in this area. It is readily accessible and you can park in one of the lay-bys at the side of the road.
The cache itself is a small Tupperware container. It is in the right hand side wood around 10m from the road. It can get a bit boggy in wet weather so bring your wellies!
The location was chosen by our geocaching superfan 4 year son.
