Geocache Description:


Preliminaries:

  • There is no cache hidden at the posted coordinates, but you will need to start somewhere around there.
  • There is no need to enter any commercial premises for any part of this cache!
  • There is plenty of street parking near the starting coordinates.

Makku Mob Caches are popping up all over the place. We place then where we have met up with fellow geocaching friends, and encourage others to do likewise: meet up with a few friends and have some fun caching.

So, a Mob Cache is a Social Cache. In order to find the location of this cache, you will need to bring along some of your friends! The more friends you have, the easier it is to find the cache.

For this cache you need a minimum of TWO cachers to meet at the posted co-ordinates with their smart phones.

For First Timers:

You should pre-test that your PHONE'S BROWSER is compatible before attempting this cache.  To do this,

  1. Go to the Flash Mob URL: https://geotrailsw.com/mob/
  2. Click 'Allow' if you see a button requesting device location.
  3. Read the notice on the page - it explains what you need to do.

NOTE: If your S and E are zeros, your device's browser is NOT "location enabled": that is your BROWSER, not the device itself. You will need to fix this first - 'Google is your friend'.

For Everyone:

Go to the Flash Mob URL: https://geotrailsw.com/mob/.

Use this MobID: 3853 and tap 'Submit'.

This is a Multi-Stage Mob Cache. You will take a short walk to each waypoint and then to the final location.

You will receive the directions and code for the next stage only when TWO fellow Geocachers are connected at the same time; i.e. your screen will show 2/2 (or 3/2, 4/2 - depending upon how many you have)

It would be a great idea if someone in your group IMMEDIATELY takes a screen snapshot to minimise the risk of loosing the screen. OR, you could just write down the directions or coordinates for the final.

You can WALK to the final - it is not far away, and probably it's safer to keep your geo-vehicles where they are. If you do drive, note any parking restrictions.
