You are looking at one giant order of pre-historic pancakes that got so old and crusty they turned into rock...
Ok, so my qualifications as a geology expert are shaky, but these formations sure do look the part.
Be careful on the dangerous terrain as there are some exposed cliff formations near ground zero and the entire hike up is a tad strenuous. Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks for the hike in. I recommend against cycling as the 'goat-head' weeds are rampant and punctures are almost guaranteed. Best bring a good pair of hiking boots and even gaiters if you have them since there is a lot of cheat grass and other noxious weeds are in the area.
This geocache is placed with BLM permission as well as Simplot permission. Access is best via Trail Creek and hiking over, though GarriLyn has granted permission for hikers and geocachers to pass through her farm over the gates at the Abraszewski trail head, provided we keep them closed so livestock doesn't escape. You can also cross the railway, but be smart and safe. See the Waypoints portion for more info on access.
