Deze cache laat je leuke en/of interessante plekken in Kralingen zien. De bedoeling van deze cache is vooral een leuke rondje, er zijn dus geen ingewikkelde verstopplaatsen of formules. Dit rondje is tussen 9 en 10 kilometer lang, het begin en het eindpunt zijn goed met de OV bereikbaar.
Je begint bij N 51°55.536' E 004°30.364'. Hier vind je een gedenkteken van de “Brandgrens”. De Brandgrens markeert het gebied dat tijdens de 2ewereldoorlog in Rotterdam verwoest was. Wil je meer over de Brandgrens weten? Kijk dan naar https://www.brandgrens.nl/.
Op het monument vind je een aantal gegevens over de verwoesting van Rotterdam. Onder ander: “X woningen verwoest, Y mensen dakloos, Z andere gebouwen verwoest”. Tel X, Y, en Z bij elkaar. Stapeltel deze getal totdat je maar een cijfer over hebt. Dit is A.

Ga nu naar N 51°55.(A/4)77' E 004°30.342'. Je staat nu voor het Student Hotel, waar veel studenten van de Erasmus Universiteit wonen. Bij de voordeur van het hotel zie je twee intercominstallaties. Het hoogste kamernummer die je met de intercom aan de linke kant kan bereiken is 89B.

De volgende stap vind je bij N 51°55.226' E 004°30.0(B-1)2'. Hier staat je tegenover het Tropicana gebouw. Dit is een voormalig zwembad dat een tijd leer stond. Nu zitten er wat startup bedrijven in. Op de plek waar je nu staat zie je een leeuw. Rechts en links van die leeuw zijn er twee lampen, die allebei een wit nummer op het glas hebben. Tel deze nummers bij elkaar, dit is C.

Ga verder naar het Oostelijke Zwembad bij N 51°55.(D-4)63' E 004°29.874'. Dit zwembad was in 1932 opgericht en is het oudste zwembad in Rotterdam. This cache shows you some nice and/or remarkable places around Kralingen. Its aim is having a fun walk or cycle tour, there are thus no difficult hiding spots or formulae. The overall distance is between 9 and 10 kilometres, the start and final are both easily reachable by public transport.
You start at N 51°55.536' E 004°30.364'. At this location, you find a memorial of the “Brandgrens”. The “Brandgrens” marks the border around the parts of Rotterdam that were destroyed in the 2ndworld war. Do you want to know more about the “Brandgrens”?
