Geocache Description:

Like the ANZAC spirit, the early settlers needed to have a similar ethic to survive and start farming in this area. This tourist information site is well worth the stop make a cuppa and read and learn about the soldiers who were allocated land in this area. There are maps showing where the original soldier blocks were and who owned these.

If you see the pine trees nearby these trees were planted from seeds from Lone Pine, hence the name of this cache. A local landholder who lives nearby waters these trees during the long hot summers or when the area hasn’t seen rain in a long time.

Thanks to Boofmuka for agreeing to maintain this cache.

Congratulations Boofmuka on FTF. Now you know where it is for maintenance.
