The Wat Teepangkorn is situated on the highest point of Koh Samui the Khao Pom Mountain and offers a wonderful view from the summit at 635 meters.
The large golden Buddha statue is the highlight. It is named Phra Buddha Teepangkorn according to the name of the temple ground.
The admission is free, but the monks don't mind a donation if you enter the platform with the golden Buddha.
In the area around the temple you can also discover a few more buildings as well as a museum. In the near future there will be a lot more to see on the summit of the Khao Pom Mountain.
The road was done quite well in the lasts 5 years and some island tours have already included the Wat Teepangkorn in their program. So sometimes the place might be a bit crowded.

In der näheren Umgebung des Tempels könnt ihr auch einige weitere Tempelgebäude sowie ein Museum entdecken. In naher Zukunft wird es auf dem Gipfel des Khao Pom Mountain noch viel mehr zu sehen geben.
Die Straße wurde in den letzten 5 Jahren recht gut ausgebaut und einige Inseltouren haben den Wat Teepangkorn bereits in ihr Programm aufgenommen. Daher kann der Ort manchmal etwas überfüllt sein.
