The Zichron Yaacov city council chose to use the neglected Aaron Aharonson Garden for the benefit of the Patank Land.
Patanque is a very popular sport in France. It's associated with the south of the country, especially the Provence region, where it was invented in 1910, in the city of La Siotta.
The sport combines tactics, concentration thinking skills and coordination and is one of the few sports in which men and women are allowed to compete in the same team or in the opposite group. Nevertheless, the patank is considered a masculine game (only 14% of professionals registered in France are women). Every year there is one of the continents of the World Championship.
Israel began playing the game in the 1960s after the immigration of Jews from France. Today there are many plots around the country. In Zichron Yaacov, playing Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:30
