We love camping in the backcountry, but since this is not always possible with three young geokids, we often resort for walk-in campsites. Many campgrounds offer these hidden gems, where you can get the feel of being a little bit deeper in the wild than when surrounded by 12-metre long RVs on asphalted pads.
Etherington Creek campground is found in Etherington Creek Provincial Recreation Area, 45 km southwest of Longview on Hwy. 541 and 7 km south on Forestry Trunk Road. There are over 60 sites here, most of which are suitable for both RVs and tents. Several of them are walk-in tent sites. Sites are spacious and surrounded by trees. There are many trails nearby for horseback riding or hiking.
The area is also a part of Cataract Creek Snowmobile Trail system and we made our hide accessible in winter (with some effort).
You are looking for a 1L LnL with whatever cache-allowed items the geokids decided to put in there.
