Chief Hazy Cloud was the brother-in-law of Rix Robinson. Rix was married to Sippy Quay Dow Das (River Woman) who was the sister of the Chief. No word on how the in laws got along....Rix was one of the first white settlers in the area, and later active in politics as the local area grew. It was said that he might have been elected Governor at one time, but knew that his wife would not be received as the wife of the Governor, so he chose not to run.
This cache is located in Chief Hazy Cloud Park in Ada Township. Note that the driveway into the park is rather steep, which may be an issue in the winter. The cache should be winter friendly unless the snow gets too deep. Note also that this area of the park can be messy after a good rain; bring appropriate footwear. Everything was nice and dry when I placed the cache.
