Wainhouse Tower Flash Mob

Wainhouse Tower is one of Halifax’s most iconic landmarks, and can be seen from miles around.

Often refered to as a folly, Wainhouse Tower was built for a specific purpose at the instruction of John Edward Wainhouse, a local businessman.  After his death, the tower was sold on and subsequently came under the ownership of the local council.

The event is for approximately 30 minutes, 10.30am to 11.00am, when I am hoping to have a local historian attend to give a short talk on the fascinating architecture and history of Wainhouse Tower. The event is open for anyone to attend, it would be particularly nice to see plenty of our local cachers, new and old.

Access to the tower is via Wakefield Gate, which is a cobbled street with very little on street parking, please do not park there.

From Wakefield Gate, follow the track to the tower.
