I originally placed this cache as a tribute to Randy Bergt, the person who has the nearby trail named after him (Randy’s Loop). I won’t talk about him in detail but if you wanna check out his story, here’s a link to a news article that talks a little more about the impact that he had and the tragedy that was to follow. https://www.alaskasnewssource.com/content/news/Anchorage-ski-community-mourns-man-killed-in-Hatcher-Pass-avalanche-460167813.html However, I am now tributing this cache to Service High School and, more specifically, the Service cross country team. I absolutely loved my experience running here at Service. The atmosphere and friendliness of the team all four years was unparalleled. So, thank you to all of those that made the Service cross country team truly amazing. I don’t think I’d be the person I am today without you. Go Cougs! #Classof2023
