SALEM BAPTIST CHURCH
This Church was first founded in 1843 and first part built in same year.
First services initially held in Randell's Estate.
His grave can be found in the cemetery at rear of Church.
Salem Baptist Church was officially opened Feb 1846 and first service held by Pastor Thomas Playford the Great Grandfather of former Premier Honorable Thomas Playford.
It was formally constituted as a baptist Church 14th May 1850..
Baptismal services were held at the Natural Spring in the Ring of Oaks opposite the Church until 1899.
