Buckminster Byways
This 7¼ mile circular walk starts and finishes in Buckminster. There is also a loop, which joins it from Coston of approximately 2½ miles. As the name suggests, the walk is mainly on byways, bridleways and footpaths, with only a few short sections of roadway through the villages.
There are one or two inclines and several stiles and narrow bridges to cross; therefore making it difficult for wheelchairs and buggies. It is an ideal walk for dogs, but they should be kept on a lead whilst on public footpaths crossing farmers' land.
Please, wherever you park - do so carefully and considerately as farm vehicles and heavy lorries use these roads.
When the caches were put out the footpaths were dry but they can get very muddy in winter and after long spells of rain so wear appropriate footwear.
None of the caches have pens and most are double-containers to keep the logs clean and dry so you will find tweezers would be useful.
There are several other caches to be found in and around the villages.
The Additional Hints given are based on the walk being made in numerical order i.e. RHS/LHS.
