Geocaching International Film Festival Event 2019
Lights ... Camera ... Action ... The 2019 Geocaching International Film Festival is here!
For the past several years Groundspeak has invited geocachers to make and submit creative, short films about geocaching. This afternoon’s event is an opportunity to view the films of the finalists from this year's Geocaching International Film Festival (GIFF).
The films have been described as being family friendly.
There's no arguing that geocaching is an art, as much as it is a game. By designing a creative container, writing a memorable log, or going to great lengths to reach a cache, we express ourselves every time we play. See how the community has turned geocaching into an art form, by attending a 2019 GIFF Event, by doing so you will receive the official GIFF 2019 digital souvenir.
You are cordially invited to attend the matinee event which will take place:
on Sunday 10 th November 2019 from 2:30pm to 5:00pm,
in the Tesco Extra - Community Room, 24 Downshire Rd, Carneyhough Court, Newry BT34 1EE
(Make yourself known at the Customer Service desk for the Geocaching Event, you will be asked to sign their visitors book for Health and Safety reasons, please sign out after the event).
There should be ample car parking available, complimentary tea and coffee will be provided.
Please place a Will Attend on the event listing, so that we have an idea of how many seats will be required.
The event schedule:
2:30pm – log your attendance, geo-chatting, TB discovery/exchange, etc.
3:00pm - commence screening of the films.
