Per accedere alla cache non è necessario raggiungere l'Eremo, ma si devono fare circa 25 passi dall'inizio del sentiero (come riferimento il pannello 104 'itineriario per famiglie').
L'eremo di Sant'Onofrio al Morrone è un edificio religioso posto sulle pendici dell'omonimo monte, nei pressi di Sulmona, risalente al XIII secolo, che custodisce la memoria di Pietro Angelerio (o Pietro da Morrone), il frate eremita che qui visse e che divenne papa nel 1294 con il nome di Celestino V e poi santo.
Il complesso, monumento nazionale dal 1902, è raggiungibile attraverso un sentiero in salita sdi facile percorribilità (anche per le famiglie) di circa 20 minuti, che conduce dalla frazione Badia, al margine orientale della Valle Peligna sino alla quota di 620 metri dove è posto l'eremo.
Chi varca la soglia della chiesa riceve l'indulgenza plenaria, che fu resa disponibile a tutti proprio da Papa Celestino V con l'istituzione della Perdonanaza Celestiniana.
La cache è dedicata al racconto 'Mauro a L'Aquila tre anni dopo' (inserito nella raccolta 'Verso Roma' dove è raccontata la storia di Pietro da Morrone.
