The first good hiking cache I found was "tomlinsonx1", GC4820. It was placed on 04/01/2001 in my favorite state park, Tomlinson Run, (which my father helped build back in 1940 with the CCC camp. I found it on 06/04/2004 just 3 days after I started caching. This was a favorite cache for many cachers before the favorite points were even thought about. For resons only known to the CO,(rdbandkab,) it was archived on 06/11/2011. During it's 9 year run it had 231 finds with many good memories for all. Only 1 DNF and that was not because they didn't find it, but because they quit before they got to Ground Zero. Lots of first finds in WV were at this cache.
A true "Old School" cache that I feel deserved to be resurected. The final is at the same coordinates and the exact same hiding place as it was back in 2001. The container is not the same one, but is very old school in it's own right.
The D and T ratings are the same as the original cache, but todays cachers might think they are too low.
