Earth is probably still the world's most common building material. You'll see examples here in the form of cob buildings. The word cob comes from an old English root meaning a lump or rounded mass. Cob building uses hands and feet to form lumps of earth mixed with sand and straw, a sensory and aesthetic experience similar to sculpting with clay.
Reduce, reuse, recycle! You are invited to walk around this property and notice the cob work in progress which could be in any stage of completion at different points in time. To find the cache, walk through the kraken on one of the buildings then notice the parts of a reused VW bug outside of a cob house. Hanging 10 is hard work and what a better place to come relax after a perfect day on the beach. Thanks to Luca Carlise for inspiring the perfect hangout.
