Flying high above the Bulloo Flood Pains VH-KTE litterally fell out of the sky on August 28, 1983.
All 12 onboard lost their lives.
The "Beech 200 Super King Air" aircraft's wings were
heard to break off explosively by Adavale locals playing tennis 15km from the fatal landing.
"When we got up there" (from Adavale to the ridge)... "It was an aweful sight."
Family of those onboard erected a memorial for the passengers.
