Swiss Avenue
A drive down Swiss Avenue is an architecture enthusiast’s dream. The mansions are all unique, beautiful, and well maintained. In 1905, the Munger family started this 140 acre residential development to be the grandest residence section in the entire South. With exclusive restrictions regarding cost, construction, landscaping and architecture, it became the first restricted residential development in Texas.
While we were visiting the Aldredge House, a historic house museum which offers free tours on the first Saturday morning of each month, we noticed that there were no geocaches anywhere in the area. So we thought we’d fix that.
The cache is located in the small park across the street. It is a great shady spot to rest. You are looking for a black micro tube with only enough room for a log. BYOP.
Because of the large trees in in the area, the GPS may bounce around. Please carefully return the cache to its location.
