This small Lock and Lock cache is located in the Harbert Road / Chikaming Nature Preserve along the Southwest Trail. The Preserve is only open during Daylight hours. Parking is available at “Welcome to Harbert Preserve II” – GC8DDAP cache.
Please stay on established trails for all of the caches until within 20 ft of cache. It may be easier to access through the south connector trail, as the west connector can have standing water or be very muddy in the spring.
The Harbert Road / Chikaming Nature Preserve is a well maintained area with Woods, Wetlands and Meadow Areas. It is common to see lots of Wildlife. There is a nice system of Hiking Trails. In the spring it can be muddy. Insect repellent will be desired throughout warm weather. Thank you to the Chikaming Township Park Board and The Chikaming Open Lands Organization for their cooperation in allowing caches to be present in the preserve.
