Sporty loop: athletics and soccer Traditional Cache

Lakeside Stadium replaces the late Olympic Park Stadium and features seating for up to 7400 spectators, an international standard athletic running track, designated athletics warm up area, and a FIFA-sized natural grass pitch.  The pitch is the home ground of South Melbourne Football Club and the athletics track a much loved training ground for some of our top athletes and associations including Athletics Australia, Little Athletics Australia, Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS), Little Athletics Victoria and Athletics Victoria. You can peek through the nearby Gate 2 for a look inside - it's an awesome facility!

The cache offers seating under a shady gumtree if you need a break from the loop.  You'll need to be stealthy as this is a surprisingly busy spot with joggers and walkers coming past on one side and office workers overlooking the site on the other.
