Geocache Description:

Time to dig up some old west history...

This is a cemetary located up the hill (Boot Hill?) from Deadwood South Dakota. Here you will find the resting place for Wild Bill Hickok. There is a requested $1.00 donation to get in the cemetery. (They are using the money to refurbish the grounds.) Patch and I visited here on our vacation, and thought it would make a lovely virtual cache while you explore a bit about this colorful character of the old west.

To log this cache, determine the answers to the following:
1) Looking on, with Wild Bill in the Center, who is buried to the Rear of his plot?
2) Who is buried to the Right of his plot?
3) What does the inscription on Wild Bill's memorial say about Custer?
(You will be facing the SIDE of the memorial when you are looking at it from the Center of the viewing area. It is placed like a headstone. See the picture below.)

Please do NOT post the answers here. It is no longer required to email the answers because so many people love this cache we trust you have done it. If you have not made the trek to do this cache you are only short changing yourself! Once you determine the answers you can log the cache. :)

You can drive up the hill to the cemetery, park nearby, and walk in, or you can take one of the many tour buses up from Deadwood that take you right to the plot. (But that would take all the fun out of using your GPS now wouldn't it?) There are some steps to climb.

Ideal for the weary vacationer that needs to log just one more cache before playing the slots at Deadwood's casinos. :)

Thanks! -Centaur
