Honeypark
Honeypark, located close to Glenageary, is a stunning amenity in Dun Laoghaire. It offers a wonderful array of facilities including a lake, complete with jetty, viewing deck and water fowl, a children’s playground, a multi-sport playing area, paved walks and seating areas. There are also native Irish species of trees and flowers and a reed bed.
Honeypark is located on the site of the old Dun Laoghaire Golf Club. After ninety seven years the golf course decamped Dun Laoghaire in 2007 at the height of the “Celtic Tiger” to make way for much needed housing in Dun Laoghaire. Dun Laoghaire Golf Club is now situated close to Enniskerry in Co. Wicklow and so is now perhaps an ever-so-slight misnomer. This explains the slightly confusing stone feature with “Dun Laoghaire Golf Club” in large lettering at the main entrances.
IMPORTANT
Parking next to Honeypark is for residents only and you will be CLAMPED if you do not have a residents' or visitors' permit! There is free parking nearby in Park Pointe shopping center.
The Cache
The cache is big enough and has plenty of room for trading items.
