Lt: Nevėžis – vidurio Lietuvos upė, dešinysis Nemuno intakas. Prasideda netoli Grybulių Anykščių raj., 6 km į pietryčius nuo Troškūnų, Paraisčių durpyne. Teka į šiaurės vakarus pro Raguvą, per Panevėžį, žemiau Berčiūnų pasuka į pietus ir vingiuoja Nevėžio žemuma pro Naujamiestį, Krekenavą (Panevėžio rajonas), per Kėdainius, pro Babtus. Ties Kėdainiais upė kerta Šiaulių-Jonavos geležinkelį. Įteka į Nemuną 199 km nuo jo žiočių, ties Raudondvariu (Kauno raj.), kur nutiestas Raudondvario tiltas. Vidutinis upės plotis 15–30 metrų, gylis 2–3 metrai.


En: Nevezis River is the sixth longest river in Lithuania and one of the main tributaries of the Neman River. Its length is 209 km (130 mi), and it flows only within the geographical confines of Lithuania. It is the second longest river in Lithuania, after the Sventoji River, that flows exclusively within its borders. Its source is in the Anyksciai district municipality, and the river first flows in a northwesterly direction, but then at Panevezys turns towards the southwest, and passing Kedainiai, flows into the Neman River just west of Kaunas near Raudondvaris.
