Geocache Description:

he sewer trail is a regular hiking trail around the neighborhood of Zichron Yaacov and Kibbutz Maayan Zvi.
You are probably asking yourself why the name and why should I come here ???
So. When they built the Neve Habaron neighborhood they found that there was a problem using existing sewer lines because of topography problems. That's why they decided to break into a path that will lead the sewer to the DSS at a height difference. That's how the path was born.
The trail is a trail that I have been hiking since I was a little boy in the kibbutz, of course once the whole area around was different, but the trail remains special.
Most recommended come spring when everything is flowering and green.
A few years ago, the trail connected as part of a single bicycle trail around Zichron Yaacov. Connects to the generous Ramat Paths towards the Carmel Coastal Plain.

For some nice points of interest and fun to visit. Volunteers built several wooden seating areas and benches toward the spectacular view. The second bench has a stunning view of Kabara Cave and the cage for acclimatization of their eagles and breeding. Another point is "The Cave of Pigs." There are really no pigs in the cave, but that's what we called her in the kibbutz and the name caught on over the years.
After the second cache for the "Sewer Trail-50 to Kibbutz Maayan Zvi", it is possible to go all the way back. Or a second option to continue it up to the pump house with the green fence.
There, or continue down the bicycle singles to the gas station and highway 4, or continue on the path until under the observatory Sagi at Kibbutz Maayan Zvi (note, the path there is less convenient and not the most obvious)

The 50th anniversary address for Kibbutz Maayan Zvi is almost completely erased.
Unfortunately, many years have passed since the kibbutz fell apart and some neglected the past.
There is a plan within the youth kibbutz to renew the address in honor of the kibbutz's 81st year

After the bench, the view of Kabara Cave continues down the path.
The faded address will be to your right.
