Snags are dead trees that are still standing in the forest. Often called “wildlife trees”, they are home to a host of creatures, including large animals like woodpeckers and raccoons, but also creatures too small to see with the naked eye. This cache is placed near the Highland Ridge Campground, managed by the Eau Galle Recreation Area. Expect an easy hike along the park's interpretive trail.
Please park at the parking lot near the interpretive building and shower building. Parking in campsites is prohibited.Highland Ridge is closed for the winter months, use alternate parking and trailhead coordinates below.
