On one of our many geocaching adventures, qbee has enticed us with the license plate game. The object of the game is to see how many different state license plates we can see on each day of our caching road trip. I think the secondary goal is to keep us backseat riders from continually asking “are we at the next cache yet?”
He provided a clipboard that had an alphabetical list of all 50 states and the District of Columbia. As each different state plate is seen it would be crossed off the list. I don’t recall what the highest number of state plates we have seen on a single day was but I think it was about 30 something. One rule is that commercial vehicles like semi-trucks do not count. The plate has to be on a passenger carrying vehicle.
On one of our more recent trips I was responsible for the clip board. I was not only crossing the states off the list as they were seen but I actually numbered them in the order that they were observed. At the end of this day I joined all the identified plates together in the order they were seen and I noticed something interesting. Upon further exploring I determined that I could hide a cache there. Maybe you can figure out what I saw with these plates?
