Please DO NOT attempt at night. This is a neighborhood, PLEASE be repectful. The cache WILL be archived if we get too many complaints from the neighbors.
We decided that this area needed a secure TB hotel, yes there is a lock on it, because a lot of trackables go missing and or deemed lost in caches everyday. This cache is located at our property so please respect the yard and please try to visit ONLY during daylight hours. You can park within a few feet of the cache on the street. If we are home come say hi (if you want or have time.) I do have a trackable on the Escape so feel free to discover it if it is in the driveway. If you are at an olive green house located on the neighborhood cul-de-sac, you are at the correct house. You are looking for a painted metal medical box on a wooden post.
A TB is a travel bug, a tag with a unique code used to track where that tag as been. You can attach virtually anything to these tags, like a keychain, a tiny stuffed animal, a drumstick or a mini refrigerator. I've seen them on old TV's and even a car door frame. The possibilities are endless!
When you come across a TB, don't panic! Here is how to log a TB.
Note: TBs are not swag and please don't treat them as such. Please try to log it as soon as you can.
1. On Geocaching.com enter the tracking code in the tracking box or select a trackable from your inventory.
2. On the right of the trackable details page select add a log entry.
3. Select from the available log types:
a. Retrieve, pick up a trackable from geocache.
b. Discover it, say you saw the trackable.
c. Write note to the trackable's owner.
d. Drop, leave the trackable in a geocache.
e. Visit, take a trackable to a cache but keep it with you when you leave.
4. Write your log and (optionally) upload a photo.
This is a letterbox hybrid so with that being said, there is a logbook, an ink pad and a stamp, please do NOT remove them. The items that are moveable(not glued or velcro'd down) are items you can take or trade. If you are a cacher that loves taking pictures, please post them in your log, and it you use social media (Instagram) please use the (#) hashtag (#cougarcach24) in your photos because we would love to see them.
