How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This is a micro cache - you will need tweezers or a small pointy item, to retrieve the log and a pen.

Geokids Grandad has been working on clearing of this old rail track recently, with a group of volunteers,  so we wanted to place a cache to recognise all the hard work and bring new visitors to walk along the track. Check out their Facebook pages “Back the Track” and “Friends of the mcClean Way” for some of the history and tales. The cleared section currently runs from The Smithy’s Forge pub in Brownhills to Pelsall. You can walk from the pub carpark up to a green set of Gates on your right before you reach the large miner on the roundabout. Turn left to walk up the track. There are also access points near Clayhanger, and if you can have a bit of a scramble up a bank you can also park on Bullows Lane and it’s then just a 5 minute walk. Depends how active you are feeling!

Happy Geocaching!
