Our good friend, Wanderdane, when faced with a troublesome situation, such as a thumb hit with his hammer, or other painful events, always lets loose with a "RATS!!" exclamation. Curse words simply are not used. So, when you find the container associated with this geocache we expect you to also exclaim "Rats!!", but hopefully for another reason.
Parking is available adjacent to the South Trailhead. The North Trailhead has very limited parking. Coordinates are given below. The distance to the cache from either direction is roughly the same. The cache container is listed as "small" in size, but there is little room for anything beyond a log.
Walk on the trail for roughly .25 mile to the cache located close to the East side of the trail, nestled within the confines of the four big ones, and covered with a natural green cover. Caution! Path is basically dirt, so watch for mud and slick spots along the way.
