Clean up the beach at Moor Road, Kilkeel on 19th October @ 12:00 noon and be part of the Autumn International CITO extravaganza! (CITO souvenir for those attending).
“lend a hand to improve the geocaching game board (i.e. planet Earth)"
***N.B. the D/T ratings; this beach is rocks & large pebbles all the way with areas of steep slopes consequently it is difficult & tiring to walk over. It will also be challenging to litter-pick in this terrain. You will be here for an hour. Appropriate footwear is essential for your own safety.***
The beach itself is mostly unsuitable for buggies, young children and anyone with mobility difficulties (though there is a more suitable track just above the beach).
Go to the end of Moor Road, turn to the left and park. Please park considerately as (hopefully) there may be many cars.
Litter pickers & bags etc will be provided on the day. Please bring gloves if you have them.
A big thank you to Nicola from 'Keep NI Beautiful' for the loan of equipment and to Mourne Heritage Trust for the collection of the rubbish.
We can't guarantee the weather but you can be sure of a cuppa, a bun and a bit of craic after the clean-up. A few travel bugs & geocoins may even emerge to be discovered or grabbed!
By participating in this event, you de facto agree that your participation is at your own risk and the event hosts, Hasamelis, Keep NI Beautiful, or The Mourne Heritage Trust, will not be responsible for any accident, injury or loss to people or their belongings while participating in this event. Most importantly off all - HAVE FUN - and look after each other!
