This is one of the Beehive's Ode to KillerB caches. You will find other caches at Osage to honor the pioneer that installed the great caches that have resided in Osage Farm and Buck Run Creek areas over the years. They are all being refurbished or replaced since they, like many of us, including the original owner are getting a bit long in the tooth.
In trying to keep as much integrity as possible to KillerB's original Old Hollow Log cache, I have tried to keep the same area used in the original intact. Much as the Maestro himself mentioned in his description, there are different ways to complete this cache. My favorite, like his, is to walk the creek out and back, enjoying the scenery along the way. The trip is appx. .5 miles one way but always seems to go faster than I expect. There are times that it will be prudent to walk the shelf above Buck Run Creek to the South side when the water flow is too high.
At stg. 1 you will be looking for a micro container with information that will send you to the final, which is an ammo can. The final holds goodies for the kids (summer oriented), a log to sign and a Lucky Deuce for the FTF. ATTENTION! DON'T FORGET!
