Come and join in the fun and get lost in a place where your GPS won't help you find your way - a corn maze. Our last Cachers of the Corn event was in 2012. After a 7 year hiatus, we are resurrecting this event for 2019. The event is on Friday, October 18, 2019. The event starts at 5:30 PM and will run to 9:00 PM. You can come anytime and stay as long as you want. The maze closes at 10 PM.
This event will take place at the Mazezilla Corn Maze which is located on Old Route 115 just south of Saylorsburg. The coordinates listed above is where the event will take place, at one of the picnic tables next to the corn maze. Park in the grass field (see listed parking coordinates) and take the Free haywagon ride down to the event location.
We will gather at one of the picnic tables located at the listed coordinates above. Look for the picnic table with the Purple Pumpkin and the small geocaching flag sticking out of it.
There is no cost to attend and get credit for the event. For those who would like to attempt the corn maze, there is a cost involved, but you are not required to do the maze. If you get hungry, there is also a concession stand with food for sale located next to the corn maze. This is a family friendly event.
Suggest you bring a warm jacket to wear, and don't forget your flashlight, as the sun sets at 6:16 PM and it might be dark by the time you get out of the corn maze. The estimated time for making your way through the corn maze is about 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
Sorry, but they don't allow dogs at the corn maze. There are also portable toilets available and a hand sanitizing station.
This is a fair weather event - hopefully the weather will cooperate. Rain showers are okay, but if there IS a steady rain all day long, there is a good chance that the corn maze will be closed. If the maze is closed, we will reschedule the event for the following day, Saturday, October 19, 2019. If the weather is bad, keep an eye on the cache page for updates.
