Geocache Description:

The story of Sir Muggleton and the Lackey is often forgotten geocaching lore.

Long long ago, Sir Muggleton was just an average fellow. He spent his time hiking, biking, and boating. One day, Sir Muggleton went for a hike down by the Chagrin River. Along the way he saw a man searching around for something near some trees along the river. As Sir Muggleton approached the man, he began to wonder if the man had lost an item, or if he had just lost his mind. Sir Muggleton came upon the man and asked what exactly it was that he was doing. The strange man introduced himself as Mr. Lackey. He explained to Sir Muggleton that he was looking for a container, something called a "stash". Sir Muggleton was quite perplexed by the idea of this "missing container" that Mr. Lackey was searching for. It all sounded a bit made up to him. Mr. Lackey pulled out his paper map and explained to Sir Muggleton how the game was played. He explained that the game was created shortly after the government allowed paper maps to be created with more accuracy. Mr. Lackey explained that he had hidden the first stash ever somewhere in a nearby cemetery. He handed Sir Muggleton a map detailing the location of this original stash. Sir Muggleton went off to find the original stash and was officially converted. He went off to have a long life of hiding and finding stashes all over the place. He especially loved combining his hobbies of hiking, biking, and boating with stashing.

Sir Muggleton and Mr. Lackey became lifelong friends. They wrote to each other nearly daily detailing all of their adventures finding and hiding new stashes. Eventually both Sir Muggleton and Mr. Lackey were laid to rest here in this same cemetery where Mr. Lackey hid the very first stash.

This geocache will take you to the site of the original stash hidden by Mr. Lackey.

Unfortunately, just like back in Sir Muggleton and Mr. Lackey's lifetimes, you can't just pop open an app on your cellular device and walk right up to this one, you'll have to work for it just like they did.

************

To find the location of this "stash" you need to perform two simple tasks:

#1 - Find Sir Muggleton's grave marker at the waypoint coordinates. Once you arrive and are facing the front of his marker, you need to find a nearby grave marker, roughly 10 feet at a bearing of 184 degrees (single grave between two small hedges). Once you find the nearby marker, make note of the last name on the marker.

#2 - Find Mr. Lackey's grave marker at the waypoint coordinates. Once you arrive and are facing the front of his marker, you need to find a nearby grave marker, roughly 3 feet at a bearing of 180 degrees (large black marker next to). Once you find the nearby marker, make a note of the last name on the marker.

Once you have the two names needed, utilize the checker below. You need to enter the two names in the format "NAMENAME". The checker will then provide you the coordinates you will navigate to to find the final and logbook to sign.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Please remember to be respectful of the grounds while on your adventure. Grounds close at dusk. No night caching.
