Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small cache with log only BYOP.

Not sure who left Elmo's mate here as until recently this was a pretty inhospitable part of the reserve, but he's been here for a quite a while so we shall let him take part ownership of our 100th cache.Since we found this place to hide a cache it would seem the builders relocated Elmo's mate but he can still be seen if you look for him.

This cache is placed along the new Burns Beach to Mindarie Coastal Shared path. There are many routes into this area but alas neither end is currently joined to civilisation. No 4x4's, quad bikes, trail bikes etc. There are access paths in with turnstiles at the north and along Marmion Ave but you can also access the area from the south and paths off the beach. Please be courteous and don't trample the dunes off any preformed paths.

Update April 2022 - the Mindarie to Burns Beach path is now open and Elmo's Mate can be approached from the south or the north, on wide shared paths with a good surface. The nearest access is still the limestone path from the east, with boom gate, which starts on Marmion Avenue.
