Why this madness?
I have a number of friends who are convinced that there simply aren't enough multicaches in the area. Multicaches can be fun when well executed and I hope you'll find this series of multicaches offers a pleasant trip into a number of parks and trails in the southern Snohomish county area. Not a single cache is hidden under a lamp post in a parking lot with a million people watching you make the grab.
All the caches are simple multicaches where you'll get information from a sign or two and then calculating where the final hide is. At each of the ten caches in this series, you'll find that either the log or the container (sometimes both) have been marked with a letter from A through J along with a corresponding number. Take note of these numbers as you'll need them to find the final cache in the series Multicache Madness - FINAL.
Cedar Grove Park
This Bothell Park is tucked away off of 9th Street and is a classic example of the sort of space you wouldn't find if it wasn't for geocaching. It's got some fairly good size trees offering shade, a nice children's playground, a sports field, and a very nice picnic shelter all tucked away with barely any view from 9th Street.

Calculating the final coordinates
From the parking area, make your way to the posted coordinates, where you'll find a plaque set into a small boulder. Gather the following information from the plaque:
- a = number of letters in William's last name
- b = number of letters in Elizabeth's middle name
- The earliest year on the plaque is cdef
- The last digit of the latest year on the plaque is g
- The last word (not a date) on the plaque has h letters in it
The final coordinates of the cache are at:
N47 4(b+h).(f+g)(c-f)h W122 1b.(a-g)(e-b)(d-b)
The fifteen digit checksum of all of the numbers is 52.
